There is no question that women’s plus size dresses can make you feel more obese and cumbersome than you really are.  In particular, the worst thing you can do is buy a dress that is virtually straight from under the arms to the hemline.  On the other hand, a garment with an elastic waist is likely to never sit where it belongs.  Unfortunately, if you are certain that you want a one-piece dress, it may be best to simply make one yourself.  That said, if you can find a suitable skirt with an elastic waistband and belt loops, you can always combine it with a slimming blouse or sweater.
